The Lesson

The lesson comes in several simple parts.
First, I want you to read the lyrics as listed below.
Read them several times, and play the mp3 with them, or just read them enough you've got the tune solidly in your head.
Second, once you think you've got a handle on these lyrics, get into your late-70s rock'n'roll clothing.
Ideally this is: tight blue jeans (NOT black, those are more 80s), a white T-shirt or button up shirt with top half undone, ankle height boots and some jewelry. If you want to go whole-hog, then get your hair to maximum puffyness by any means necessary.
Third, get a suitable rock'n'roll prop. It will need to work as a microphone, microphone stand, guitar and drumstick. Ideally a piece of dowling or border about 18 inches long.
Fourth, get in your rock'n'roll stance. This is legs about hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, hips parallel to audience, or just slightly off, shoulders and neck slightly slouched (example).
Fifth, start dancing. Follow the moves in the song, as they are linked in the lyrics below. I have demonstrated the basics, and to add realism, I have replaced my non-rock'n'roll face with that of various band members. DO NOT BE ALARMED.

Good luck, have fun, and do your best, because THIS IS CANADIAN CULTURE.

Here they come
The boys in the bright white sports car
Wavin' their arms in the air
WHO do they think they are
And WHERE did they get that car

There they go
The boys in the bright white sports car
honkin at all the girls
It's Jack-of-all-trades Stan
And Gerry the garbage man.

La da da da
La da da da dum
(guitar- "dun-du-nun-nun-de-nu-nun-de-nu-nunuh" -repeat)
La da da da
La da da da dum

There they go-ooo-o
The boys are really rollin'
Some old lady's called the cops
Said the car is probably stolen...STOLEN!

(guitar solo)

There they go-ooo-o
The boys are really rollin'
Some old lady's called the cops
Said the car is probably stolen...STOLEN!

Here they come
The boys in the bright white sports car
Wavin' their arms in the air
WHO do they think they are
And WHERE did they get that car

La da da da
La da da da dum
(guitar- "dun-du-nun-nun-de-nu-nun-de-nu-nunuh" -repeat, with screaming guitar down)
La da da da
La da da da dum

La da da da
La da da da dum
(guitar- "dun-du-nun-nun-de-nu-nun-de-nu-nunuh" -repeat, with wobbling guitar up and down)
La da da da
La da da da dum

La da da da dum
(guitar- "dun-du-nun-nun-de-nu-nun-de-nu-nunuh" -repeat, with wobbling guitar to side)
La da da da
La da da da dum

(End with drums)
